October 24, at January 9, at 8: Unfortunately it is poorly implemented, not intuitive and can hook up multiple devices to soundbar a lot of problems for end users who aren't tech savvy.
Typically, it does nothing and you have to get the TV remote to switch to the correct input and then the sound bar or receiver remote to switch to its correct input. If using the TVs apps or antenna then an optical cable from the TV to the sound bar or receiver.

I have a Samsung TV with HDMi audio output to a soundbar that also has optical audio output, can use this for wireless headphone receiver connection? And who knows, it might just get you hooked enough on good audio to convince someone to let you upgrade that system down the road to something that will really shake the house!
